Brinkerhoff Reunion in Atlanta!

For the first time, the Jim Brinkerhoff family was represented at the Brinkerhoff Reunion...probably because Cindy convinced Jim to plan it and have it in Atlanta! At any rate, it was a lot of fun, and we enjoyed getting acquainted with relatives! Nelson and Betty Brinkerhoff and their daughter, Cindy Faiui, and cousin Faie Solheim and her husband, Glenn, arrived on Thursday. Dad's Cousin JoAnn and her husband, Leonard, and their daughter, Lenore and her five children arrived on Friday. Thursday, we had dinner at the Midieval Times, eating with our fingers. Friday morning a delegation went to the Temple in Atlanta, and on Friday afternoon some of us took naps and others went to the Coca-Cola Factory. All of the Atlanta contention of the Jim Brinkerhoff family joined us for dinner at Stacy's on Friday evening. We were able to see a video composed by Tony showing relatives back about 100 years, and some home video by JoAnn of past relatives. We had a great meal and fun to share. We got around in a Medical Van that Alex loaned us for the occasion, and we were able to see some things in Stone Mountain Park, lunch at Taco Bell, and the afternoon at the Railroad Museum. We went to a local all-you-can-eat restaurant, Fuji's, for dinner. Sunday morning we had breakfast at our house, and just as we were leaving for Church, it started snowing (yes, snowing in Atlanta). Needless to say, those who were going to fly out had to stay for another day, so we all put our heads and hands to work and came up with an evening meal. We had a great time exchanging stories and putting some genealogy information in JoAnn's computer. It was fun to have family to get "snowed in" with! The next morning school was canceled, so Jim was able to take those who needed to get home to the airport. They were fortunate enough to get out on Monday. We had a great time and were happy to have a chance to get acquainted!
